Todd Woodrick

Todd is a former Air Force Special Tactics Officer with public and private sector experience in technology development and investment.   After leading special operations and advanced military technology programs for more than 23 years in the Air Force, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and Joint Special Operations Command, Todd joined the senior staff of Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Lab where he championed operator-centric technology development.  In this role he was instrumental in creation of the nation’s first multi-domain intelligence fusion system for countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) terrorism. As a technology developer he has worked to bring operational expertise into the acquisition process,  and developed a strong appreciation for the critical role of commercial innovation and private capital in advancing government and military capabilities. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer of private equity and venture capital firms, where he led global due diligence of commercial technology companies and oversaw closure of over $160M of private investment. Today Todd serves as WMR’s Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer of a Maryland-based engineering firm, and advisor to WMR field activities

 Todd has Master of Science Degree in Defense Analysis & Information Operations from the Naval Postgraduate School, and Master of Science degree in  National Security Strategy from the National War College, and  a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business.  He is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Air Force Association Citation of Honor, and the 23d inductee to the Order of the Joint Special Operations Command Colors.
