Relocation of Rana

At 10:00am on June 8, 2014, Rana’s village was subjected to bombardment and attacks by ISIS. As some citizens were killed and others, she searched for her husband refusing to leave without him. Her neighbors betrayed her presence to the invaders, and Rana was captured along with her husband but was soon separated from him. She was sold and re-sold to different ISIS members, suffering abuse and living in deplorable conditions. Five years later, she finally escaped captivity with the help of a Good Samaritan family. Eventually she learned that her husband had been killed in an air raid on Al-Kwayr prison where he was being held.

In this video recorded in July 2019, our team relocates Rana to a safe house in a safe location in Iraq. Team members Jawad Georges, Charbel Chami and Atrn Bahram escort Rana through the next step of her journey. Today she is in a small apartment in Jordan awaiting emigration to Australia.
